Timeseries of the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation, North Atlantic air-sea and meridional heat fluxes, SSTs, and SATs in climate models from CMIP6

This data provides post-processed CMIP6 data. The dataset includes annually-averaged timeseries of the (1) Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation and (2) northward heat transport at 26.5°N, 30°N, 35°N, 40°N, 45°N, 50°N, 55°N, and 60°N, the (3) basin-wide integrated air-sea heat fluxes in the North Atlantic north of the respective latitudes, (4) basin-wide averaged sea surface temperatures of the subpolar gyre region as defined by Caesar et al. (2018), and globally-averaged (5) sea surface temperatures and (6) surface atmospheric temperatures. Timeseries are provided for the historical simulations, the SSP1-2.6 and SSP5-8.5 simulations, and the corresponding piControl simulations. The years in the piControl simulations correspond to the respective years in the historical and SSP simulations. For more details, please see Terhaar et al. (2024)
