Abstract

State policy in terms of maritime affairs encompasses a wide array of actions including safety, signalling, rescue, training and education, and other aspects of workforce (seafarers and maritime affairs staff) management: notably health and retirement. Specific actions such as response to oil spills are also taken into account in budget and staff terms. Data are provided by the Maritime Affairs administration.
