Temperature data from CISICS coloniser, EMSO-Azores observatory, 2015-2016

This dataset contains the controled temperature data in °C from the two temperature sensor (Bottom and Top) inside the CISICS colonizer deployed between April 2015 and September 2016 (n=24924) inside an Aisics foothill fissure. (data acquired every 15 min.)

Devices

CISICS (Connected In Situ Instrumented Colonizing System) allows microbial colonization on synthetic basaltic glasses or natural mineral substrates, fluids and microbial sampling and temperature records when deployed at the top of a small hydrothermal spire called Aisics chimney. A total of 8 fluids and microbial sampling is scheduled over the deployment duration. CISICS was developped by Ifremer, Carnot EDROME.
