Data (mean and standard deviation, n=3) of biological parameters presented as figures in the manuscript: primary production (mg C.m-3.d-1); flow cytometry cell abundance (picoeukaryotes, nanoeukaryotes, Synechococcus, heterotrophic bacteria; cells.mL-1); pigments (total chlorophyll and fucoxanthin; µg.L-1 ; and peridinin, 19-Hexanoyloxyfucoxanthin, alloxanthin, 19-Butanoyloxyfucoxanthin, zeaxanthin, total chlorophyll b; ng.L-1); biogenic silica (µmol.L-1). n.d. = not determined, bdl = below detection limit.
