AMORGOS-23 ME70 bathymetry and back-scatter data
The AMORGOS-23 cruise (https://doi.org/10.17600/18003211) was conducted onboard R/V Europe from April 26th 2023 to May 9th 2023. We surveyed the coastal and deep areas offshore Amorgos and Anafi islands with the multibeam echosounder ME70, at reduced speed (2-5 kt) in order to acquire data on the very steep fault scarps. Bathymetric data were processed with GLOBE software, tide correction was applied. The bathymetric data are gridded at 5 m resolution offshore Anafi, 6 m resolution offshore Amorgos, and 10 m resolution for an extract of the data on the Amorgos fault scarp. Back-scatter data were processed with Sonarscope software, resolution are similar. They are provided either in NETCDF or TIF format, projected in UTM35N (WGS-84)
