EOT-NECS Ocean Tide Model

EOT-NECS is a regional Empirical Ocean Tide model of the Northwest European Continental Shelf developed at DGFI-TUM. EOT-NECS is created using 16 altimetry missions from 1992 to 2022 based on residual tidal analysis. A total of 43 ocean tidal constituents are provided on a 1/16 degree resolution based on both semi-empirical and empirical estimations. This model was specifically created for use in the DCSM-FM model to improve tidal boundary forcing, with the results being published in the Ocean Dynamics journal.
