Selectivity of hooks in the handline fishery for Bigeye scad, Selar crumenophthalmus in the Colombian Caribbean Sea

This database contains biological-fishery information on the pelagic fish Bigeye scad (Selar crumenophthalmus), captured in the Colombian Caribbean with a handline and using different hooks sizes (No. 12, 13 and 14, type J). The morphometric variables measured were total length, standard length and mouth length. The information recorded during 2019 is useful for estimating the selectivity parameters of the Bigeye scad captured with artisanal handlines.
