Carbon and nitrogen stocks and accumulation rates in seagrass meadows (Posidonia oceanica) of the Eastern Mediterranean Sea

The dataset contains Posidonia oceanica sediment core characteristics (core length, compression during coring and age), sediment variables (granulometry, dry bulk density, organic carbon and nitrogen content) and elemental stocks and accumulaion rates (organic carbon, nitrogen and carbonate). The cores were collected in 15 study sites along the South Aegean Sea (Eastern Mediterranean Sea, Greece).
